Rhonda Kupke grew up in southwest Iowa on a grain and livestock operation. Now, she’ll be using her agriculture roots as she transitions into a new position on the sales team at Servi-Tech.

Kupke, who lives north of Kearney with her husband, Tom, started her new job last month. She said she was interested in Servi-Tech because in her previous position at DuPont Crop Protection, she worked with Servi-Tech employees on a regular basis.

“Servi-Tech has the ability to offer the grower agriculture consulting and technology, and it’s all put in one package for growers to use,” Kupke said. “Servi-Tech is one of the few companies who can offer that. That’s important in today’s economy.”

That technology includes soil moisture sensors, which Kupke says will help in the future as agriculture faces challenges.

“The future revolves around water resources and people utilizing the technology available to make a better business and a better operation,” she said.

Kupke will spend her time working on retail growth for Servi-Tech, as well as working with consultants and growers to make them aware of what services the company offers.

“It’s a different thing every day, which is fun,” she said. “Servi-Tech has the people and services in place to be able to provide a team approach. When you work as a team, questions from growers get answered.”

Kupke will cover the entire state of Nebraska in her new job.

Kupke and her husband maintain a small farm and have a small cow-calf operation. Her husband, Tom, works for Streamline Genetics.

“Rhonda brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, and is familiar with our customer base and the ag community in Nebraska,” said Jeff Hiers, Chief Operating Officer. “We are thrilled to add Rhonda to our sales staff as one of the ‘people making the planet more productive.’”
