With CropView by Servi-Tech, you’ll work with your Servi-Tech crop specialist to utilize aerial imagery to look for costly problems in your field while there’s still time to fix them — and not discover the problem during harvest when it’s too late.
We don’t fly planes directly, but work with those who do to make sure we capture aerial imagery that’s cost effective and high quality — then convert that aerial imagery to actionable results in your fields. The standard CropView package includes 12 flyovers per season, or roughly one every 10-14 days during the key growing period.
Flyovers include three types of imagery: natural color, normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and thermal infrared. Each provides key information in determining the health and condition of your crop.
Before making recommendations based on aerial imagery, your Servi-Tech agronomist will take a “boots on the ground” approach to double check results.
Through aerial imagery and this on-site inspection, we’ll be looking for:
- Irrigation problems,
- Nutrient deficiencies,
- Application errors,
- Insect and other pests problems,
- Weed problems,
- Plant disease problems,
- Soil compaction and more.
Images are delivered through StepsPro.com website the the day after they are taken, allowing you and your Servi-Tech crop specialist to make yield-protecting decisions quickly. In situations where saving yield isn’t possible, we’ll log the problem so we can address the challenge ahead of the next crop year.
We’ve also integrated TheProfiler, our soil moisture monitoring system, into the web portal. This gives you and your agronomist a better understanding of your crop’s health around your soil moisture probe and how much area TheProfiler’s data may represent. It’s a tremendous resource during the growing season.
Servi-Tech’s CropView also helps create or modify:
- Planting rate maps,
- Nutrient prescriptions, and
- Irrigation applications.
And since Servi-Tech agronomists offer independent advice, you can be assured that our CropView recommendations are what’s best for your field and situation—and are not tied to any brand of crop input.
