S.T.A.R. Plots

The purpose of the S.T.A.R. (Servi-Tech Agronomic Research) plots are to compare hybrids and varieties in yield, standibility and overall health. The plots were developed by Servi-Tech agronomist Clark Poppert in 1995 because of the sudden GLS (Gray Leaf Spot) pressure that blew up in the Genenva, Nebraska area in the very wet, cloudy and humid year of 1993.  In 1995 Servi-Tech also began treating strips of corn with fungicides and now treat half of the plot with a fungicide and compare the hybrids treated vs untreated.

It is great information for our consultants and the seed and chemical companies love the third party independent research that we provide.
